&&. GUIDELINES
GENERAL // OOC&&. Please register as your characters first, middle, and last name. Once you activate your account, you need to customize your name. Again, make it the first, middle and last, but in ALL CAPS. And please, no special characters. These are reserved for certain members at the Variel Academy. Also, make your gender the gender of your character.
&&. One character per account, but you may have as many characters as you want...just make sure you can keep them all active. And please, do not create characters, get sick of them, and get rid of them in a month. You must actively play a character for three months before deleting it.
&&. Your characters must be humans, no human hybrids/etc. However, their shift can be any animal, from a spider to an elephant. Water species are also acceptable, but realize that they cannot survive out of the water. Also, if there are already several characters with a certain animal shift...get creative, and think of something else.
&&. Humans can look however you want them to, just make sure the persona you use is not already taken. Be sure to check the character roster on the registration board and the claims on the plotting board. Animal shifts are not allowed to have any unusual colors or jewelry/etc.
&&. The species with rare colors (ex: king cheetah) need admin permission to be made. If you have a question about whether an animal needs permission or not, feel free to ask.
&&. Please do not put anything in your signatures. Admins will set them up for you when your character gets accepted and when you make a log. We will use this rule as a way to determine if you read them =)
&&. The ONLY place that you are allowed to advertise is on the ads & affiliates board. If we catch you advertising in the cbox, sending random PMs advertising a site, or posting in places other than the specified board, you will be punished.
&&. Please keep In Character and Out Of Character arguments separate. Actually, there should be no OOC arguments. If someone is causing trouble, DO NOT try to handle the matter yourself, ALERT AN ADMIN!
*new*
&&. Do not pester people in ANY WAY about them needing to post. Instead, make a post on the -REPLIES- topic, and leave it at that.
&&. With the last rule, please remember to respect everyone, even members younger than you. And please, be mature.
POSTING // IC&&. You may not post until your character has been accepted.
&&. Once your character is accepted, it will be put into the correct category (male/female), and their age will be added as a custom title. Admins will create a room for them in either a dorm or apartment, admins will also decide if they will have a roommate or a separate room.
&&. This is an intermediate-advanced RP, so posts must be at least 300 words. But remember, its quality, not quantity. And please, do not double post in a thread.
&&. Please make some kind of distinction between speech and actions. Sometimes, quotation marks do not stand out enough. Bolding or adding color always makes things easier to read.
&&. Absolutely NO POWERPLAYING OR GODMODING! If you do not know what these are, please ask.
&&. We use liquid time on this board, so your character is allowed to be in more than one place at once...just be sure you can keep up with your threads.
&&. If there is anything graphic or explicit in a thread, please mark it as MATURE...this even includes alot of crude language.
&&. If you've gotten to this point, please hide "peanut" somewhere in your biography so that we know you've read everything on here =)
&&. Post header images may not be more than 530px, though they can be as tall as you want...just don't go overboard.
&&. Please keep fighting realistic. There are no special powers just because your character can shift. A tiger would still beat a dog, hands down. And again, NO POWERPLAYING OR GODMODING!
&&. Human character can fall in love, have babies, etc, but the animal shifts cannot. Offspring of the shifters may or may not shift, and if they do shift, they will take after only one of the parents.
