Personality::
Leah has always been bubbly, kind, and outgoing. Her attitude to life is positive, positive, positive. Whenever she's feeling down (which is rare) it doesn't take a lot to get her back on her feet and smiling. Although she has gained somewhat of a reputation as an airhead because of this idealistic joy, she is perhaps one of the happiest people she knows. No matter what the case, she'll make you laugh and be willing to reach a hand out to a friend. She thinks a lot is funny, and sometimes she gets weird looks for being the only one to chuckle. Sometimes others tend not to take her seriously because of her lackadaisical attitude, which she often finds hard to change at times.Leah is smart, however, and she works hard in school. She has been known to pass up a party or two to study hard, and currently is in a few accelerated courses due to her intelligence and work ethic. She is easy to like, but often she wonders (peanut) if she has any true friends. She's usually not the subject of gossip or rumors, because she's very good. Leah has a reputation for being innocent, as well, and wears it well. Everyone thinks she's still a virgin, but there is no evidence supporting or denying that fact. Yet, the young woman also has a slight tendency to get a little out of control; when she gets too drunk, she can do things she normally wouldn't. However, she's a sweet girl all in all and is trying to figure out who she is, just like all teenagers.Likes:: friends, sunshine, the beach, coffee, fashion, summer, boys, animals, jokes, good movies, music.
Dislikes:: debbie downers, rats, politicians, seriousness, hostility, police, mormonism, labels
Strengths:: friendliness, creativity, athleticism.
Weaknesses:: easily confused, sometimes can be hypocritical, tends to be selfish at times.

Introduction::
Leah Eleanor Karlson was born in a small town in Louisiana, near the gulf. Her parents were kind and loving, and gave her everything they could. She had two older siblings, a brother named Liam and a sister named Jessica. They all got along well, and once the two kids went off to college, Leah was a mere eight years old. Their family was happy and supportive.Animal Shift::
Her shift was not realized until later in her life. When she was ten, Leah was eating dinner at the table with her two parents, when all of a sudden, she disappeared. Well, that's what it seemed like. All that was left was her overalls and t shirt that she was wearing, and her parents were stupefied. For a moment, they thought their daughter was dead, or had vanished into thin air, and after a few hysterical cries, her mother spotted some movement in the pile of clothes. Scared, the two parents moved closer to the pile, and as they were about to touch the denim of Leah's overalls, two big, brown ears poked out of the top. Soon a hare's head followed, and then the entire body crawled cautiously out of the clothing pile. Needless to say, Leah's parents did not understand what this hare was, or what had happened to their daughter. Then, without a second's thought, the hare hopped off the chair and hopped towards the kitchen. Dumb struck, the two adults watched as the animal attempted to hop up to the handle of their stainless steel fridge. Then, after a few attempts, the mammal stopped and looked at the shiny reflection in the door. Then, a cry that sounded as if she were being slaughtered echoed from the hare's mouth.
After her parents and Leah realized what she was, they were very terrified for their little girl. The family went from doctor to doctor, trying to figure out what was wrong with her. They were shut out at many avenues; most people thought they were crazy when they said 'my daughter can change into a rabbit thing randomly.' The medical professionals that would see Leah made haphazard diagnoses, some claiming she had ADHD and others saying she had an acute case of schizophrenia. But, her parents were not convinced. After dozens of doctors, they finally caved in when one suggested Leah be placed in an intensive medical housing unit. It was a nice way to say 'asylum'. Ms. Karlson was placed in room 008, a brightly lit white room with a bed and a bathroom. It was like a prison. Those four weeks she spent there broke Leah. She became desolate and hopeless. Convinced that her parents had left her there to die, she lost her will to live. She went through the motions that the institute required of her, and said nothing to any of the other patients during their social time. It continued like that for a while, until one boy about the same age as Leah started spending time with her, not making too much conversation, just doing things with her and being beside her so she didn't have to be alone. His name was Gregory, and the two soon shared a strong, unspoken bond. Then Gregory revealed that he was in the institution for the same 'condition' that plagued Leah. After eight long years of thinking she was insane, she had found another human on earth that had been dealing with the same emotions and situations that she had. He could shift into a lamb, a strange animal, but they got along very well. He told her one day of a place, a school for hundreds of other people who had the same condition. Immediately, a passion was ignited in her heart, and she wanted to get out with Gregory, to go to this place, Variel Academy, and live a happy life. As soon as her pre-existing time requirement expired for the facility, she escaped, with Gregory. The two ran away from everything. They fell in love and forgot about Variel Academy. Soon they were living together and going to school together, using Leah's bank account to buy basic needs and pay for their rent. Although her parents were heartbroken, thinking she was missing at first, they soon realized their little girl was on her own, and continued to replenish her account with money and wrote cards on her birthday and Christmas.
But like all good things, it didn't last. Gregory disappeared one day. For weeks, Leah waited for him. But he didn't come back. Soon, she lost hope that he'd ever come back. Confused and dazed, she left and headed for the only place she knew - Variel Academy. She promised to herself to forget everything that had happened and to turn over a new leaf. With the support of her family, she moved forward.
A European hare is larger than your average rabbit. Their legs are longer and they can run at speeds up to 70 km/hr. In groups, they exhibit strange fighting behaviors called "boxing" which usually occurs between adult males. They're social animals and much more "wild" than domesticated rabbits. Leah, as her shift form, is such a hare with honey brown fur and long limbs. She's scruffy looking usually, which gives her away as more than just a bunny. Her ears are long and stained black at the tips, and her eyes are a dark golden shade. Like all hares, she gains a keener sense of smell and hearing, and is somewhat more panicky due to her instincts as a mammal of prey. She's incredibly fast when she runs, and tends to use stomping as a means of communication between other animals.Make sure you read the rules![/font][/b]:
As a hare, Leah tends to change her persona somewhat. She becomes more alert, less bubbly and more intense. It's almost as if when she shifts, she becomes the opposite of her human personality. Her sense of easy happiness fades into blank sensibility and logic, nothing exuberant or joyful about it. Her sex drive also becomes more powerful, considering the animalistic aspect of her shift. Leah doesn't like to shift too much, but she's learning to accept that part of her as a part of herself. She's fairly in control of her shift at this point in her life, but is far from mastering it. It takes a good amount of energy on her part to shift on command, and she stays in form for a good chunk of time depending on the situation, until she can gain enough energy to shift back. Sometimes, she'll wake up as a hare, and every once in a while, she can get confused regarding which form of being she is in.
